Part One: The Player
Name: Jenzi
Recommendations: Lauren was nagging me day after day to join. So to stop her whining, I did. :3
Roleplaying Experience: I’ve never Rped before in my life. :3
Part Two: The Character
Name: Pisces ((Previously Cathy Baker))
Age: 13
Gender: Female
Species: Goddess
Alignment: She is cold, sadistic and rude. But, I guess you can count her under good.
Occupation: Goddess
Appearance:
Aries is medium size, standing at about 5”3. She has long, waist length crystal hair. Of course, not real crystal but made up of the same consistency as crystal. It is a very sparkling white, and maybe a bit finer than normal hair. She has completely white eyes, which can scare some people. She looked slightly demonic if she makes her eyes wide, and enjoys freaking out the less courageous Goddesses with that unpleasant fact.
Aries is very well groomed, and is very smart and tidy. She is a neat freak, and therefore goes crazy if one strand of hair is out of place. Everything around her must be in order, or her clean appearance will rapidly vanish. She is not underweight at all, and is quite healthy looking. Aries has that look, ‘I think you should listen to me’, and walks around with a lot of confidence and self-assurance.
Her voice is strangely soft and quiet, unlike the annoying, matter of factual know-it-all voice that everyone always expects from her. She has a very melodic, lilting voice that often makes people feel drowsy; simply because of the time she takes into making her vocals sound perfect and methodical. If you’ve ever watched lord of the rings, she speaks a bit like Galadriel. Very slow.
She wears fairly nice clothes, ones that flatter her curvy shape. Mostly dark dresses that compliment her hair and eyes, and a small blue headband.
Personality: Aries is a very Highly strung girl. Despite her clean, neat and tidy exterior, there is a fire burning inside this girl. Mess with her, and she WILL find a way to get even with you. Aries has gotten into a habit of speaking things that make sense, and will seldom talk unless the thing she is about to say is worth the time and energy.
She has a very unnerving air around her, and she is the sort of person who gets what she wants. Aries can turn from a silent, thoughtful person into a violent wildcat. Aries can change very easily, and swaps sides often. She can easily take a grudge to one person, and easily grow to really like another. She is very unpredictable.
Aries is what you would call spoilt. She is incredibly used to everyone moving out of the way for her, and I suppose it is a bit of a shocker to be with the other Goddesses, and knowing that they must be equal to her.
Not letting people in is one of her specialties. She can block out the rest of the world and just think for a long time easily. Very solitary, independent and aloof.
Abilities: Like all the other Goddesses, she has the power of Telekinesis, to communicate mentally with the other Goddesses and her familiar, Diamond. Her special power is the power of hypnosis. She is able to make people do whatever she wants, but for a limited time.
Possessions: Her own jewel- a Rose quartz that her mother gave to her when she was a child. It is worthless, but holds a very large sentimental value to her.
History:
A very rich woman and her husband found Aries as a very small child on the brink of death. It just so happened, in a bizarre twist of luck, that they were unable to have children, and adopted Aries as their own. For the first thirteen years of her life, Aries was known as Cathy Baker, daughter of a rich man. She always knew she had been found as a child, and that the Bakers weren’t her real parents, but who cared? It was only genetics.
Aries didn’t ever give a second thought to her real parents, and enjoyed a childhood of luxury. She had incredibly wonderful food, richly sewn dresses and pretty jewelry in abundance. Her parents were the owners of a string of shops in the villages. When the time came for her to be taken to the priests, her mother could hardly bear to say goodbye to Aries.
Aries was indifferent. Both lives seemed very appealing. Her father eventually persuaded her mother to allow Aries to go, and they shared a tearful farewell. She was taken to the stalls in the temple, and sat for a while, listening to various whimpers, bitten down yelps and cries of pain.
I won’t say her courage didn’t waver a bit, but she knew this was a test. She couldn’t fail, right? So as she was taken before the crowd, she looked into them, and gave a small smile. Looking at the instrument, her smile faltered for a bit, then resumed it’s plastic fakery.
Aries was horrified when she looked into the audience, for her parents were looking fearfully back up at her! She took a deep breath, and knew she couldn’t show that much pain. Her mother would die of regret otherwise.
So she gritted her teeth, and as soon as the ceremony was over, leapt down into the other room, and gave a small shriek of pain, muffled by her sleeve. She prayed that the audience wouldn’t hear. She didn’t cry simply made quiet squeaks of pain, and rocked her arm until the pain faded.
At dinner, she wasn’t able to eat. Afterwards, she felt quite sick, and threw up later in her bedroom.
Other: None really.
Mother—Anita Baker
Father- Frank Baker
Part Three: The Writing Sample
Aries would remember the whimpers weeks afterwards. Sitting in the cramped compartment, she listened to various noises of pain; oblivious to the treatment she would have to endure in a matter of minutes. She was starting to regret ever agreeing to this. But then again, did she or her parents have a choice?
The priests needed an Aries. So here she was, a microwaveable meal they could chomp on. Just stamp all over, and tear her away from the only people who had ever cared for her. Oh yes, Aries was certain the priests didn’t give a whit of what happened to her. This Goddess lark wasn’t all it cracked up to be. And whatever this ceremony was- it didn’t sound fun at all. A particularly strained yelp reached her, and she shuddered in fright.
Giving a small sob, she curled up in a little ball on the hard stool. How had it come to this? How did she go so low? Shaking herself, she attempted to pull herself together. Her eyes were red and swollen, and she panicked. How could she let them see her like this? Rubbing her face in vain, she let out a small squeak of alarm as they called out her name.
If she didn’t come, then they would call her name again. And that would be just too humiliating for words. She had a reputation to keep up! Sweeping back her long blonde hair, she smoothed her robes, and plumped up her cheeks so they had a nice rosy glow.
With a sudden burst of confidence, she wiped away the tears and stepped into the spotlight. Doing what she did best. Faking it.
